Anonymous Tactics vs Xenomorphs
Introduction
Last match before Santa wohuu!! We like to play unusual maps from time to time and our german fellows in [~X~] (Xenos from now on) felt the same. Maps tonight were Flagrun and Canalzone 2. We have always hated Cz2 from the bottom of our fun ruining hearts but we decided to give it a go this time... and versus Germans who are thought to be experts in analzoning! Well actually, quite few people in AT would like to play Cz2 more but we are just so damn poor innit cuz we don't have decent strategy and teamwork :F Flagrun was all new experience for me. We had played it once in August 2003 and lost to some low division clan back then. Did I say something about strategies and teamwork? Well, I wasn't online when that match happened so I wash my hands out of it
1st Round - Flagrun
I planned genious strategy for us. We had JaNordy sniping the midfield accompanied with HWG Riz and me as soldier. Defence was run by korpse who played engy at our flags and Thorm who was solly. Offy were three merry medics known as Ameepa, Gunni and Megiz. I guess both teams were bit "WTF?" at the start but we were owning with pure skill. Later Xenos' defence shaped up but they couldn't hold off Ninja Gunni who took out their engies, sentries and conced up to a lamp post to hide from pursuing enemies. Xenos' defence also surrendered to Agile As Library Bus Ameepa whose escape concs made Riz to *blush* Maybe we see these guys in upcoming AT AVI. I did few airshots but nothing to brag about in match report. Towards the end Xenos' defence really put a lock on it and we couldn't cap anymore. Midfield started to remind more of a ghost town than battlefield as people started to conc over it like in normal CTF maps.
2nd Round - Canalzone 2
We started Cz2 with following strat. We had three scouts to cap command points; Ameepa, Gunni and korpse. I was HWG and played at CP3 mainly while Thorm kept CP2 clean with soldier. JaNordy, Megiz and Riz were SSG whoring meds whose mission was to push towards enemy base as long as they can. We got it going really well so I said to people that they can play whatever they want. The thorn in my butt was Crenshaw, the medical merc from MsA, who fiercely fought me ever so many times at CP3. We asked him to play for us too but JaNordy showed up and the money would have not been enough anyway. We won Cz2 bit easy and I was expecting harder resistance from ze germanz but later they told me that some key players were missing.
Summary
Good game, both maps were fun to play (for me at least, and speak for the others) and I personally look forward to play Flagrun again at least. Thank you very much clan Xenomorphs and have a nice Christmas with beer flavored new year
