Introduction
As VTFL poules were redone, we were fucked. We have had some problems to get decent lineups lately and this day was no exception. I think this was our first match against Magna Cum Laude alltho I recognized familiar names from their roster. They had beaten r~ so we just tried to bump their triumph a little. First map was Stowaway2 and second was ah so lovely Analzone2.
1st round - Stowaway 2
Defence was ZaRaK reps, Gunni RR and Blackout FR. Mezger did engyjob and I played offence soldier. First 10 mins were quite stable but then our defence collapsed and they started capping rapidly. Offence was no-good against their defence that had seemingly good incs and teleporter from respawn to FR. I was able to weaken their FL with almost every run and we got their sentry down now and then but somehow we were not able to finish them off. At the end it was 0 - 80, with better lineup it would have been much much more tighter.
2nd round - Canalzone 2
Everytime we are forced to play this map, I have troubles to get 8 players to play it. We had simple strategy, 3 carriers and 5 medics. All medics have one goal, go to enemy base and kill carriers. I guess we were not ready for that strat as Blackout had 39 carrier kills, ZaRaK had about 20, Mezger and Samus had about 10 and Gunni had about 8. Something is very wrong with that. Can't say carriers did any better either. UuniKaisa had over 30 caps, I had 15 and extacy 12. Enemy carriers had about 20 average. I was surprised that the start was very good for us and we even had the lead for some time. Then =mcl= got the lead and full cap so that was that then. Few more full caps and all were waiting the buzzer.
Summary
If we can't get our top lineup, we have no business against prem clans. We have lots and lots of ok players, but ok is not enough. Then again, it's only a game and I think everyone had good time, at least in Stowaway2. GG =mcl=.
